Our college Principal, Dr Vinay Ranganathan is a PhD in Management who has completed his studies at the University of Cambridge UK and is involved with the institution for over 15 years. Dr Vinay Ranganathan has pursued his MS in Nanotechnology followed by a MPhil in Business Enterprise at the University of Cambridge in the UK. He further completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management and Technology and his MBA from the University of Liverpool in UK. His PhD research was in the area of leadership in education where he has written several research papers in the area of transformational leadership in education and regularly writes on integrating technology and innovative methods in education. He is recognized as the youngest ever Principal of a college in India by the Department of Education and in 2018, his institution has been recognized as the top ten colleges in Bangalore by the Govt of Karnataka. He has also achieved the Young Entrepreneur Award and Higher Education Innovator award and has been featured on BBC many times for his innovative and creative ideas to transform leadership in education. He has been regularly part of the Academic Council and the syllabus framing committee in Bangalore University and is working on bringing Data Analytics, Machine Learning and Artifical Intelligence courses as part of the Bangalore University syllabus for postgraduate and PhD courses. He is regularly invited for national and international conferences for career guidance for students both in India and abroad.

The academic head Smt Khyathi Vinay holds many accolades in education including a Masters in Education from the University of Southampton and a Certificate of Advanced Leadership in Schools from Harvard University, MA. Her innovative and 21st century teaching and learning methodologies are consistently appreciated and recognized by staff, students, parents and management. She strongly believes that as students encounter obstacles, they learn, adapt and grow stronger.
The focus at Charans has always been on providing a holistic education that empowers students not only academically but also emotionally, socially and morally.
